St. Clement's

The exact site of St. Clement's church is unknown, but it stood somewhere along Scotgate, just before the gate in the town walls, and probably on the lower part of Barn Hill. The earliest reference to it is in 1223, and from 1547 the parish was administered jointly with All Saints.
