St Michael Cornstall

There is no evidence as to the date of its foundation. The site of this church is well documented; it stood on the land now occupied by Cornstall buildings on St. Leonard's Street. This street was originally called Cornstall Street, and was probably the early site of the corn market. The church building disappeared in the 14th century, and the parish was absorbed into St. George's in 1309.
